Weather at Mt. Hood

Timberline winter is experiencing a great snow year and fantastic conditions. We will start our summer on the very best spring / winter snow anywhere in the world.

Summer skiing is ideal for amazing and consistent weather, especially in July and August. The aspects that make ski racing great also can make it challenging, on the best of days. Weather and adapting to changing conditions is essential to each racers success. At Tichy Racing we are masters at making use of each day and any conditions presented to us. Still, weather delays, mountain closure and the unexpected can occur.

It is in the best interest of each racer that they pack as many layers as possible and be prepared to train in all conditions. Items like extra gloves and goggles can make the each day more bearable. Here are a few links for weather updates and webcams:

CAMP CANCELLATION

In the unlikely event that any camps / sessions are cancelled by Tichy Racing for any reason whatsoever, a full refund of payment within 14 days of announcement will be mailed by USPS. All sessions that continue as planned will fall under our regular cancellation policy.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Registration starts with a $200 deposit request by quickbooks billing; to confirm participation a deposit of $200 per participant, per session must be receiving within 15 days of request for deposit. Your $200 deposit is non-refundable yet deferrable to any available session during the 2023 season up to 90 days in advance with notice to Tichy Racing.

If you wish to change your original reservation, your $200 deposit can be transferred to any other 2024 session/camp that is available. No refund is available within 59 or less days prior to camp. Full payment to confirm camp is due 30 days prior to arrival at camp.
Cancellation siting medical or injury related issue is valid for a refund or credit with the following details:
a) injury cancellation accompanied by a doctor note prior to arrival will allow for a full refund less $200 non refundable deposit paid
b) payment will be held in credit for 12 month (from date of registration) less $200 deposit to be used at any upcoming Tichy Camp
c) any racer departing due to injury or medical condition from camp will receive credit for future training (within 12 month from date of camp) based on their departure from camp as pro-rated at their departure

BAD WEATHER POLICY

Each day is approached as positive and all is done to train safely and effective for the entire group. However, weather may effect lifts, safety, training conditions, etc. It may not be possible to train each day. Tichy Racing offers full day activities, dryland and education during any weather delays or closures (full time participants only); we ensure all participants are learning and enjoying each day to the best of their ability. We offer the most generous credit incentives of any ski camp. 
a) any missed ski days (due to weather) will be applied as credit to racer account for the same venue only, less one (not including the 1st day missed per session) day missed (per week / session) to be used within the next 12 month based on the date of the first missed day
b) if two days (in the same week / session) are missed due to closed / weather a $100 discount will be available for use towards another Tichy Camp to be used only within the current calendar year regardless of venue
c) if three days (in the same week / session) are missed due to closed / weather a $200 discount will be available for use towards another Tichy Camp to be used only within the current calendar year regardless of venue
d) if four days (in the same week / session) are missed due to closed / weather a $300 discount will be available for use towards another Tichy Camp to be used only within the current calendar year regardless of venue
