Location

Tichy Racing welcomes you to Nakiska, Alberta, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies for our 2025 Thanksgiving Camp. Nakiska is designated as the Canadian National Training Center and was the famed resort built for the 1988 Winter Games. Nakiska underwent significant updates leading up to 2010, with it’s bid for the Olympic Games. For the last several decades, Nakiska has offered pre-season training starting in early November for elite and national teams, providing the most modern snowmaking and predictable cold in Canada. A top elevation of 7’410 feet and total vertical drop of 2’411 feet with multiple slopes to meet the needs of all ages and abilities.

Nakiska, Alberta, checks all the boxes for a terrific Thanksgiving Camp training experience. It is located just 52 miles from Calgary, Alberta. “Nakiska” is a Cree word meaning “to meet” or “meeting place”; come meet Tichy Racing at Nakiska this fall and start your 2026 season ready to race.

Empahsis

Tichy Racing coaches only the latest slalom and giant slalom technique. All technique is demonstrated by active internationally ranked racers. We focus on quality, productivity and safety each day on and off the mountain. Tichy Racing staff uses the newest coaching aids and training tools, including high quality video review, cordless digital timing equipment, new SPM 27 mm gates, brush gates, Hero gate and approved GS panels.


Meals & Lodging

Day Camp families have the option of lodging just minutes away at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. Contact us for how to access a 20% team discount at the Pomeroy.

Full Time Athletes will enjoy lodging at Mount Kidd Manor.

All locations feature excellent restaurants, local shopping, an indoor waterpark, an outdoor ice rink and ice skating trails, multiple hot tubs, spa, and much more.

Day Camp includes daily upgraded on-hill lunch at the Finish Line Lodge (11/25-30)

Full Camp all-inclusive athletes begin the camp with buffet dinner on Monday (11/24). Three meals a day with an upgraded lunch on-hill at the Finish Line Lounge, and ending with buffet breakfast on Monday (12/1).


Activities

Daily outdoor dryland focused on recovery, skills, and winter sports. Indoor recovery with pools, hot tubs, sauna, and weight room access. Bring your ice skates!


Cost & Assurnace

Limited to the first 40 racers aged U12 and older, for the 2026 ski season, with a racer-to-coach ratio 5:1.

Online registration to secure your place. Day Camp $2550 includes 6 days of training, lift tickets, lunch, dryland, and video review. Full Camp $3500 all-inclusive with training, tickets, meals, dryland, video review, lodging, and ground transportation. All costs are in USD.

  • 1st Payment: $200 within 14 days of your registration. Your deposit is fully refundable before 8/26/2025

  • 2nd Payment: $1000 due when camp fills up or is waitlisted

  • Final Payment Day Camp: $1350 on or before 10/10/2025

  • Final Payment Full Camp: $2300 on or before 10/10/2025
